I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble. It doesn’t matter whether you’re using a Mac or PC. Either will work. In fact, I was on a Mac when I created the video.
There must be something wrong with your domain name. Can I ask you to post this in my support forums, and I can help you from there. It’s just too difficult to do in the YouTube comments because they don’t thread very well.

I use a mac and when I went through this step by step and got the the wordpress portion, I could not access my site to put in the plugins. I go the confirmation email and everything but when I clicked the link, Safari said it? couldn’t find it…after I paid for the domain name and hosting and everything. What’s up with that? Does this process only work with PC?

i get no error message for? who has this problem simply appear as the domain does not exist. i have pointed the DNS to the server i will try once again if i can get this problem solved. Thanks for the reply

What happens when? you go to the website’s URL? Do you get a specific error, or is it just a general server error?
It might have something to do with the domain. Are you sure you have the domain configured correctly? If your domain and hosting were purchased from two separate places, you’ll have to configure your domain to point to the DNS servers that your hosting service gives you.
If you would like to troubleshoot this, it might be best to use the forums listed above in the description.

i have created an website (coding) similar to word press the problem is that it won’t show up online on everywhere it’s pissing my off any idea if the problem is on the server or some wrong script? i am not realty good at this stuff

So, I’m going to assume you purchased your domain within the last 48 hours. Can you either let me know your domain name here, or you can email it to me at, todd [at] websitesmadesimple [dot] org
What did support tell you when you called them? Did? they mention that you might need to wait up to 48 hours? Did they have any other suggestions as to what it might be?

Did you purchase your domain within the last 24-48 hours. If so, that could be the reason your server isn’t coming up. It can take up to 48 hours (although, usually less) for your domain name to propagate to all of the DNS servers.
If you go to the “Welcome” email that Hostgator sent you after registration, there is a? link in there that will allow you to view your website before DNS has been resolved. Try that link and let me know what you get.
