That “Complete Left 4 Dead Update” installer is not one that I am familiar with. Take the contents of whatever is in that Backup folder, and copy to the root is my assumption as to how that would work.
Did you forget the root?

With the “Complete Left 4 Dead Update” installer, do I extract it to my Left 4 Dead root folder ? Because when I run the patch it’ll extract all the files into this location. C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Username\Left 4 Dead\left4dead\Left 4 Dead\Backup\

When i run the “Left 4 Dead Survival Pack” and install it in the l4d file, when i start the game it comes up the “valve” symbols and the “2 week after….” movie then it loads in like 2 secs and then it goes down and it comes up a little window that says “No permissions to run “left4dead”” I hope you can help me 🙂

Great!, first i was thinking, why not just use the auto patcher? (you didn’t explain that, you only said that you are a tool if you do and if people decided to not use the autopatcher because of that, they are tools) You explained its not good to rely on them etc. Yes I think that is a good Idea but I will still be using my autopatcher unless A, there are actuall problems involved, or B, valve turns EA. Also If this video made you swich to manual patching, your a tool.

well what happens is when i download it the file is only 16kp and this is for any file i download on megaupload
