Hey Sharon, be sure to add this to a text widget: [wp_cycle]. The only thing that could be happening is that your theme has a visual editor in the text widgets. If that’s? the case, you need to make sure the widget is switched to HTML or Text view when adding the shortcode for it to work.

I am having the exact same problem, I have tried [wp_cycle] which ends up showing that text. I am using version Version 0.1.13 which tells me to? use wp_cycle(); which I have put in the text widget, and again, just this text shows. I went to the site where the developer suggests a php solution in brackets and nothing shows at all. Any ideas?

    I did put [wp_cycle]. “[wp-cycle]’ was a typo.
I uploaded? a new text widget and solved my problem.
    Thank you very much!

Hello, please double check that you are using the shortcode [wp_cycle]. In your comment, you said that on the site, it’s showing the word [wp-cycle] which is not the right shortcode, must? be an underscore.

    I have WP 3.4.1 and wp_cycle 0.1.13.
I put the code [wp_cycle] in the text widget right sidebar.
The images does not? loaded by the wp_cycle. Insteads, it shows the word “[wp-cycle]”.
My text widget has scroll bar shown. Your demo did not.
    Need help!
    Thanks!
