Contact Form 7 – WordPress – Install and customization tutorial

October 25th, 2012 by admin

Contact Form 7. Is one of the most popular contact form plugins for WordPress. It is very easy to use, but it takes a little while to get into how to customize the plugin. Begin by installing the plugin. Go to the settings (Contact tab) and a default contact form is already created. To customize the form. What I did was to copy the css styles file. In the installed plugins you can click Edit and the files will show on the right side. Close to the bottom is the styles.css file. These are some of the codes used. I copied and pasted these to my css file. Made some minor adjustments. Looked higher up in the duplicate of the theme css file that I am using and found a section on forms. Here I made some additional adjustments to the contact form. Helpful web sites: www.wpsnippet.com contactform7.com www.ehow.com voodoopress.com

Hi ScubaGuy! 3 weeks have passed since you asked the question. I have myself not used a secure connection with my? forms. Did you find out what you needed through google or another way?

How do? I make my form send via secure connection?

DW and CPanel have nothing to do with each other (that I know of, but I am not sure what you are referring to)
We are just talking about the CSS file which can be opened in DW, modified and saved, and uploaded from DW into the correct folder online. Try it out. The changes you? make should work fine.

Thank you, paaljoachim for reply. I am new in many things in blogging in WPress. I thought to make changes in DW you need to sign up in CPanel,.. etc. That way, I believe, any changes made with help of DWeaver will be applied. And if I do changes in DWeaver without all those steps with? CPanel, do you think the changes will work?

Yes, you can use Dreamweaver or any other text? editor.

    HI,

Is CSS page opened in Dreamweaver? So I don’t need to go to my file manager? in CPanel?

The theme style.css has its own styling forms. So take a closer look at the style.css in perhaps the forms section. It might be blocking the contact form 7 css from coming through. I am not sure if I am answering your question correctly, but? I do also believe that I address this issue in the video. Have a great day!
