As everyone else has stated -“Great video.” I had a questions about the “Login Buttons” ? which in your tutorial were red and also the size of the username and password info boxes on the login form in the body of the website and not as a widget went across the space not as in your demo. How did you do it? Thanks.

John, you’ll need to pony up the $20/mo if you want to use Paypal. However a cheaper option is Stripe (which PMP supports), they handle recurring payments without a monthly fee. With? Stripe you’ll need an SSL certificate though. You’ll want to ask your hosting company about setting that up.

hi hannah, having too many plugins and also not deleting plugins you are not using can slow your site down. also, slow speed can also be caused by using a theme that is not coded optimally. i have not done a speed comparison of membership plugins but this plugin, paid memberships pro, is highly rated in comparison reviews. if you happen to do a comparison focused on speed, i’d love to hear the results so? please feel free to share here in comments. thank you, best wishes.

Does this slow down your site at all? It seems like a lot of plug-ins. I am also looking to do a membership site with bbPress or some other forum so the speed? worries me.

It does indeed, thanks? for the quick reply. I’m looking forward to putting this into practice now. Have a great day.

thank you? so much, danish. i appreciate your comment. happy to help.

hi sean, thanks for your comment, so glad the video was helpful. yes — as long as the post is a members-only post it can still be protected regardless of the number of categories. there’s a “require membership?” setting on each? post and this determines whether or not it is protected. hope this helps.

  14. Sean Hendy

Katrina, really good video, many thanks indeed for making this available, it was useful to see how this was setup. I assume posts can be in multiple categories not just the membership? level category, and still be protected regardless of which category someone views it.

Or can it only be in the specific category and not in any other category at the same time?

If I may…Use a screen capture program to take an image of the video in the video player (try screenhunter 6.0) so it looks like a video, but it’s just an image, go to widgets, add a text box using plugin blackstudio tinymce? to insert the image, scale it to whatever size you want (or use photoshop to change the image size you want) and using simple code you can make the image clickable to the protected page where the actual video is.

How can i have? a page displaying the members picture and some info.?

  17. EnergyFitnessUK

Hi thanks for your help i solved the pages issue. 🙂 However when i try a dummy run checkout, i get the following error message on the Membership Checkout page >>> Express Checkout PayerID is missing.? Do you have any idea how to fix this??

There is no way you should receive a thumbs down for your work. You should be getting PAID big time for your tutorials. You explain how to do…. better than the creators of the plugins themselves. That’s why I’m waiting on your? tutorial on Customizing Email Templates. I to would like my members after they click on the link they get in their emails to direct them to the login page and not the sign up again. Love your work. God bless you and yours.

Hello,? I really great, I love the way you teach us online

Hi there, thanks? for your comment. In the “Edit Page” view, there will be a box on the left hand side bar that says “Require Membership?” with the name of your membership level below this. You would need to check the box next to the membership level and save the page to include this page as a protected page for members only. Hope this helps.

Hi great video. How? can I use this plugin to block pages from non members as apposite to only posts??

  22. tanchesterutd

Also I need to attach PDF and word.doc files? to some of the videos I will have on the membership site – can I do that with this? Thanks again.

  23. tanchesterutd

Hi I? have a question: when people click on my domain for the membership site I want it to take them to a squeeze page where they can buy the membership. I also want the squeeze page to have a member login option at the bottom as well as privacy policy etc. Do you know how I can do this? Thanks

  24. 77webstudio
