I have just done all the above. It works exept for 1 thing. It did not install the index.php file! So the site wont work 🙁 Any idea why it is not doing that? using? wamp and hosting on yourhost.nl

I’ve just begun experimenting with XAMPP for production on my local host. It will be interesting to see whether I succeed in transferring the? site to my online hosting service. This tutorial will definitely help. Clear narration and excellent instructions. Thank you.

every time i finish the installer i get this error…
failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/bcstyle1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache.php on line 53?

For some reason, after step 1. it forces me to download the installer.php and it doesn’t go to step 2. I must have a database setting wrong but I’m not sure which. hmm..?

When you pack up a site with? Duplicator and transfer it anywhere one needs to create a new database for the new site. This means one needs to go to the Cpanel for the new location/domain and there create a new database which will then be used for the new site installation/deployment.

Hi – thanks for posting this video!? I want to transfer a site from a folder on my current domain (that I was working on to develop this site) to a new domain. Where do I need to create a new SQL database, in? the Cpanel of the current host that is hosting my domain or the new host where I want to transfer my site to? Thanks for your help!

Well, I finally got it to work and your instructions were very helpful. The error message was a result of having the? wrong PHP version on my server. I found the same error message on a post on the Duplicator support page, and the penny dropped… Many Thanks!

great idea but I got this when I tried the installer.php :
