Hi Josh,
Nice video. Thanks for all your hard work. I have one question, though. All the help videos I’ve seen (including yours) assume that the user doesn’t have a provider. So when you type in your new website name, it brings up a clean WP template.
My “problem” is that I already have a provider and a (VERY) out-of-date website. I’ve downloaded WP and MAMP to my Applications folder. Now what? What do I type in (and where) to get that nice, clean template.
I appreciate all your help.?

Fantastic tutorial! I learned exactly what I needed, as removing sidebar clutter and making menus eluded me…until your tutorial. You have a gift with your even and concise delivery. I have viewed many tutorials on many subjects and can? say with surety that your tutorial is what other tutorials should measured against. Bravo dude, and thank you very much.

This should only be temporary. I would recommend pixabay(dot)com. They have fantastic images and every image requires? no attribution or permission.

Hey Spazz, Thanks!… Doing that on this particular theme would require some pretty advanced coding but I would recommend trying out the 2011 theme. By default, it rotates random header images but if you set specific “Featured Images” for particular pages within? the page editor, it will accomplish what you want.

Thanks! Current versions of wordpress come with a plugin called “wp super cache”. This basically saves copies of your website so that it will load faster for your users. Usually, this doesn’t interfere but it may be doing that in your case. I would suggest deactivating the plugin by going to “plugins” and click “deactivate” under? Wp Super Cache. Then just reactivate when your changes are made.

You are very welcome! You? have to be using a “self hosted” version of wordpress from wordpress(dot)org. This just means that you need to have a web? host that you can install wordpress to. WordPress(dot)com users will not have plugin options or functionality. Hope this helps!

Fantastic tutorial! One issue so far: When I try? to change the navigation label on my about page, wp tells me that it has updated but the unchanged version remains in the menu. Any ideas?

HI? there, thank you so much for the video, it has helped a lot! I am confused about something. You had a plug in menu on the dashboard, but I do not see one on mine in order to add plug ins. Is this only a feature if you’re paying for a wordpress site? Thank you so much
