You’ll def use Filezilla at some point anyway.?

Come to think of it you could also upload the plugin via? WordPress > Plugins > Add New. Have you purchased the plugin, Lealyn?

You need an FTP client such as Filezilla to upload the? plugin to your WordPress install.

The short answer is yes, Lealyn. You’d have to make the different pages for all the different languages. It also depends on how this shopping? cart works. If the sales pages have Buy buttons embedded in them you’d have to copy this button every time.

Hi rob, when changing menu bar? languages menu bar is disappearing..

Thank you Rob!?

Yes, you can do this! If? you click the RobCubbon article above you will see that the menus change in the other example I’ve done. Also, WPML works really well with Genesis, so the pages you specify in the Appearance > Menu miraculously change language, as long as you’ve made a Chinese or foreign language version of these pages.
It’s an awesome plugin!

Hi Rob
Great video.
Question: How about the menu?
Suppose you choose the Chinese version of a page, the menu stays in English.
Is there a way? to let the menu be Chinese too?

Tony, it sounds like you’re best off going with ICanLocalize through WPML — the links are in the video description. Once your site is built in English and populated with content, you can submit your posts & pages for translation to ICL and find a native language speaker in a virtually unlimited number of languages. Once? you fund the translation (prices start at $.06 US per word), the translator starts and the posts show up automatically on the website (if you configure the plugin that way).

Hi Rob I am looking for auto translations on every post and page I create. I have tried a number of translation plugins today. A big problem is that Google went to a charging model for use of their API. Bing also charges? but the first 2million characters / month are free. I tried a plugin based on the Big API but it didn’t work very well. I will go with a free service from a company called GTS. They have their own engine, which is free, though not I’m sure if it’s a long-term solution.

Hello Tony, thanks for the “Like”? 🙂 It doesn’t do the translations automatically but you can in fact use their translation company (ICanLocalize) through the plugin. So you can commission translations whilst setting up the site. Or, alternatively, you can arrange you’re own translations to be done and paste them in. It’s up to you.

Hi Rob thanks for the video. As far as I can see WPML does not do the actual translation – you need to get that done separately – and simply provides? a way to manage translated versions of content. Is that correct? Thanks, Tony

Thank? you, Mihai, that’s very kind. 🙂
