Victoria please help, when I type in for example dev.mywebsite com instead of showing the page it shows you it shows me that firefox can’t open? the website and can’t connect to the server, what’s wrong?

Ive been looking to understand more about wordpress and knew you had to do the MAMP thing – have been trying to make MAMP work and get a sit up for months.
