Thank you, I really appreciate your series. Really easy to follow and? modular. I use Exclipse to edit my files which is a free download and I can follow along without c-panel just fine.

Thanks!?

As clear as mud. You lost me at? cpanel. Oh well. Guess I’m officially a moron.

Hi there,
The application I use in the video is a part of cPanel feature of a webhost, like HostGator. (it works on both Windows and Mac OS)
What is your host? if you haven’t signed up with a webhost, you can use “WPHost2012” as a? discount coupon in HostGator. You can also use another hostings like JustHost or BlueHost or others, they have this cPanel. I don’t know with GoDaddy never tried them.
I hope this helps
Cheers

Sorry for? the trouble. My problem was that I didn’t set “display text” to no in the appearance->header settings. Because of that even though the search box dissapeared the text box engulfing it remained. Again, sorry it was my mistake.

Did you try removing the code instead of commenting it? I removed? the code and have black background, I didnt see the rectangle box.
January 17th, 2013 at 10:39 am
That’s a nice video, but after I commented the search bar part out the search box (a small white rectangle box) still remains. Try switching your background to a color which is not white and you will see it. Since my site? uses a blue background it didn’t help me very much, but thanks anyway.

I am using the 2011 theme directly on my site. I tried but it didn’t work as I am not sure if I should use the code editor or the text editor. Am a beginner and found the removal code visible? on my site!
What happens if I delete it ?
