www.jesseluna.com This video tutorial describes how to add an image Slideshow to WordPress.com. The WordPress.com Slideshow feature was just added today (March 31, 2010). This allows you to upload images then immediately add them into a blog post as a very cool slideshow.

There is no “slideshow” button. Bummer. I was really hoping it would be as simple as it seemed. I tried it all different ways, bu the button just isn’t there. I can do a gallery? with no problems, but not a slideshow. I swear, nothing about WordPress works as easily as it should.

@WasteNot WantNot The trick to getting a nice uniform looking slideshow is to? use photos that are the same dimensions. I went in and cropped images to make that happen before I uploaded them. Good luck!

Thank you for this information! After? successfully creating the slideshow I find that my photos are not all the same size and they are much too small. Can you give me the pixel sizes to fit the slideshow background? Thanks

Burtonh1, actually, this example is made for the? basic/free account. If you have a self-hosted account, the kind where you take the WordPress code and install it on a separate web host account, then it won’t work.
Let me know if you’re having trouble doing that.
