First off, you’re a champ, you really helped me with? the part on 5:20..
I have another problem now, my tutorial suggests I should also go to localhost/phpmyadmin/scripts/setup.php but it just isn’t working for me, it throws me a 404 page instead..
At least it lets me to phpmyadmin thanks to you!
What should I do now about this “setup.php”?

I go crazy! Same like for Xampp!YOU CAN NOT SAVE change to an apache config. file..!!! Apache don’t let you do this.I have installed wampp cause I can not deal with xampp apache(change port 80) for the same reasons. Three fool days now trying all the tips to save the changes to this darn file.
P.S. Instead “privileges” hit “users”. Good luck saving changes to the file with the password? !
P.S.S Try to run apache as administrator. To some PC this seams to be a solution to may save the file.

( ! ) Notice: Undefined index: Gender in D:\sites\sqlTut\sqltutorial.php on line 50
unfortunately the code is buggy. I’m not sure what it wants, but I’ve checked my php against the tutorial code character by character and it’s simply not working due to the undefined index value its looking for. I know the php page is connecting to the database so it’s not at that end of things. There is something missing from the code near the top where he has?
$gender = $_POST[‘Gender’];

Mysql.(Do all that he stated with php config file but after that.. Open mysql console) In console after you press enter when it ask for password type: mysql>? UPDATE mysql(dot)user
-> SET Password=PASSWORD(“yourownpassword”)
-> WHERE User=”root”;
Press enter for change to occur than type:
mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
Enter
In config(dot)inc(dot)php Don’t change AllowNoPassword to To false that will mess you up.However Change password to what you changed it to.
That show fix all issues

To fix phpMyadmin problem go to C >Windows>System32>drivers>etc Open file named hosts as admin? and add on a new localhost doman name ex 127(dot)0(dot)0(dot)1 w ww(dot)anything(dot)com (Make sure you have it at the bottom of file before other localhoste).To fix php pass word issue open Mysql Console in Wamp and press enter when it asks for password? bc u have no password in

Very good video, user-friendly explanations!
I’m still currently locked out, unfortunately. After saving my password, clearing history+cookies, I still couldn’t solve the issue. I tried a re-install too. It gives me a “using password: YES” version lately,? too.
