Welcome to Project WordPress and thank you for taking the time to watch this video. We’ve asked you to watch it because we believe it will help you to have a better experience while using Project WordPress. First things first, yes…we have a lot of videos, but don’t let that overwhelm you. Most are quite short and, if you just watch the videos in Start Here and The Essentials you will learn everything you need to setup and run a WordPress website or blog. Going Deeper and Extra Stuff are primarily for people that are really serious about their WordPress site and either want to make money from it, or at least drive a substantial amount of traffic to it. So start with Start Here and The Essentials and then dip into the other areas as needed. Your first time through we recommend that you ignore the search area and use the apples to go through each section. This is the best way to learn all of the essentials of WordPress and this website. Later, when you need to refresh your memory about something you learned, you can use the convenient search box to find the tutorial you are looking for, or you can use the lists under the apples to find the topic you are looking for. When you’re on a tutorial page like this one, you can either view the video inline, watch it in full screen, or click the title to be taken to that videos page which will provide you with a larger inline player, as well as a transcript of the video and a list of resources mentioned in the video.
