thewebtrainer.com Now as simple as it may seem, embedding a YouTube video into a WordPress blog is not as well understood as some may think. So, I have created this clever little YouTube, WordPress tutorial on how to do just that. Embedding video into your WordPress blog is one of the most effective marketing tools you have at your disposal, but rarely used. Video marketing has become such an important part of any small business marketing plan that this can’t be overlooked any longer.

Hey. Are you putting the code in under the HTML tab on the editor? Let me? know or send me the link to the site and I will look at it! There is another way to do it if thats not working. Let me know! Thanks!

Second? if you use any YouTube short code, such as to remove the YouTube logo, auto start, add related videos, start in HD, etc, you would need to use the manual embed code. Either way works, just depends on your needs! Thanks for the comment! Good eye!

Nice observation jeherve. I have a video for that as well. Should have it up in the? next couple days anyway. And that is definitively a a great way to do it. But two reasons why this manual embed method is still a great way to do it. First, the settings in your Media tab under settings is a globe setting for any video on your WordPress site. If you need a video to be a different size besides the size you have set, this would require you use the embed feature.

Interesting video… Bu you know you could simply copy the youtube URL and paste it on a single line in your editor (visual or HTML)? No use to go through all these loops! And if you are worried about the size of these videos, there is a setting in your WordPress admin panel, in Settings > Media, that allows you to specify a max width or height for each video embedded on your site.
I think that’s way more simple than you demonstrate in your video, if? you don’t mind me saying.

That is great information to know. I have never tested the old and new to see is there is a performance? difference. But that gives me a new task to try! More videos coming, anything specific you would like to see? Thanks again for your support!!

Me again, I forgot to tell you that for the test, I used the Old & New? embed codes from the same video and the video with the Old code was always faster.
Maybe the loading was so obvious to me because I tested it on an older slower system.

Hi again, to answer you, it was a WordPress site. I tried it again with both the old & new embed codes and this time they both worked, I probably made some kind of mistake the first time around.
I had both videos playing one above the other at the same time and the video with the OLD embed code was loading faster than the one with the new code everytime.
I tried it on an older desk top running Windows XP and I definitely saw a difference, Thanks again for? this video, it was a great help

Thanks for the feedback. Did you place the new code in a WordPress site or was this a standard website? Let me know and I will try? to track down why you are having an issue! Thanks so? much for the comment!

Thanks for the taking the time to make this video, just one thing, I saw in another video where a person said that they did it the same? way that you did and it did not work so I tried it myself using the new embed code and it did not work for me also.
I decided to try the OLD embed code, I just checked the ( Use old embed code ) box, then it worked perfectly.
I am now learning about these things so I don’t know if I made a mistake before but I definitely know that the old code will work.
