Absolutely! I have a bunch of online stores and I’ve never had a single problem.? If you use the right security plugins you should never have an issue. The only time I’ve seen a WordPress site get attacked lately is when the user drops their firewall, or through allowing code injection in comments

WordPress have been criticized for having some security issues and being unstable if you list alot of items, do you think it’s safe/stable enough to? use for? an webshop?
Your tutorials are great btw!

You need to go to installed plugins in your wordpress dashboard and deactivate opencart. Then? activate WP E-Commerce

I think I may know the problem (besides me? being ignorant) I had previously installed opencart so I think I have created a conflict, because when I just type in my website url I get taken to the generic opencart page. I need help. Grrrr!

Thank you so much , the? mistake or confusion was the product category name = featured
October 4th, 2012 at 12:45 am
I have added 12 products? and marked everyone as featured but still i am not able to get that , i am new to wordpress and also coding , please guide me.

The way I set it up, every product that is in the Featured Product category shows? up in the slider. You don’t have to do anything fancy with the pictures. It automatically pulls the first image from the product images you assigned in wp e-commerce
October 4th, 2012 at 12:45 am
If i am not wrong , ‘wpsc_product_category’=>’Featured’
refers to featured products which are displayed inside the slider at the bottom which has add to cart buttons , other things are displayed fine. how do i add featured products.
after adding products i have added a featured image. I? am confused in adding products.

Is everything else working? Do you? have a products page, account page, etc?
October 4th, 2012 at 12:45 am
Hi, I am not able to get the products in the scroll bar , not able to? get the add to cart and more info buttons.

I’ve had non-stop work for the last 1 1/2 years because I learned how to make shopping carts. If you tell me what confused you in this? tutorial I’ll happily expand upon it?

Thanks for the tutorial, but it’s scary for a newbie. Oh well, I guess? I’d better come into the 21st century.

Hello Derek. When it comes to inspecting elements, firefox has 2 great plugins.1st,”Fire Bug”,U can take the mouse and? point the element U wish to inspect. While “Fire Bug” is activated you can inspect every element, not like in Chrome, when you have to right click every element you want to inspect.
2nd is “Web Developer” now this has a lot of functions and one of them is the CSS Editor!U can modify and SAVE changes to your CSS code while viewing what U R doing!
Your videos R great!Thanks
