Brilliant! Thanks so much that worked. The Css wouldn’t import at first but I realised it was because I used a (:) instead of a (;) at? the end of the import code. I figured it out by following the written tutorial on your blog. Made all the difference. Great Blog by the way – lots and lots of interesting stuff over there.

Hello
It can be caused by the code to? import the style.
I can’t help much without knowing what codes you have in style.css of the child theme?
I have the code here:
blog.web6.org/twenty-eleven-child-theme-simple-wp-3-2-video-tutorial/
You can copy or the best to type the code manually, and it should work
Regards
Kimi.

Hi Kimmimebaby, good short tutor. I should suggest you to build a new template? using child theme if possible. Not minor editing, rather, header change, navigation style change, logo placing etc..

Thanks for the clear tutorial! There is also a plugin called “One Click Child Theme” that automatically creates a child theme with a style.css. I need to edit TwentyEleven’s functions.php but how would I do this? I want to edit functions? that are already in the parent functions folder.
Thanks in advance,
Maria

hopefully you have found your answer? by now, but if not… try using the full path to the twentyeleven style.css… including your domain name, the wp-content, themes and then /twentyeleven/style.css
