Thanks for the great video, thought you might be interested though, I got stuck at the log on at …wp-admin/install.php, got a message saying the password was wrong or the host was down. Had a play around and discovered that I just needed the user name, not the elliotm_ bit before it.
Couldn’t have got there without you though!

I can’t connet my SQL database to the localhost. The error message stated: No CONNECTION. I don’t know what has went wrong. Pls advice. Anyway, I m using Cpanel for the configuration.

Yup, the have yearly subscriptions in 12, 24, and 36 month packages. The host is HostICan.

I looked into WeyCrest, and it looks like they have a feature built into the hosting control panel called Application Vault, which can automatically install WP for you. This means you don’t even need to mess around with FTP for installation.

Cpanel is a service that your webhost will provide when you sign up for a hosting plan. Different hosts have different managers, Cpanel is just the one my hosting provided uses.
