I have a couple of questions. In the WordPress instructions, you need to unzip the file and follow these instructions: Open wp-config.php in your favorite text editor and fill in your database details as explained in Editing wp-config.php to generate and use your secret key password.
According to your tutorial, you don’t do this, but just ftp the zipped file up to the public-html folder and extract it there. So I am not sure how this gets accomplished in your example.
WOW.
That was it.
Thank you very much!
Please consider embracing a career as maker od didactic demos & movies.
You make the text visible in YouTube (go see how many people can actually do that!) and you present things logically and at the right pace.
Your cvoice is also most suitable for the lessons, there is no sense of rush, pressing or too much relax – just the exact note and pace.
My webmaster did my website/blog using c-Panel and it was all Greek to me until I watched your video. It certainly has taken all the work out of having to understand http://ftp..am relatively new to this techie stuff. Like all the rest…a million thanks.
Thanks for the excellent tutorial. I was about to have to create one for my Intro to Web 2.0 and Intermediate WordPress students. Now I can simply let them watch this.
Brilliant, after days of banging my head and no results, finally your tutorial saved the day. Perfect instructions and easy to follow, got the job done. Thanks a million 🙂
Thanks!! I got lost in FTP’s and servers, and stuff and spent hours on the “5 minute” install. You walked me through in 8 mins! What a relief…I love Youtube!
Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!!! I would have done it all the wrong way without this tutorial. It’s excellent, I followed it step by step and it was so simple. Bless you!
